# What Ponder can't do yet

Ponder can take on almost any edit, often by a different route than you're used to. A few things are good to know going in.

## It's not a traditional editing app

Ponder works mainly by you describing what you want. You can still trim, reframe and adjust clips by hand, but it doesn't have every knob and dial you'd find in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro or CapCut. When you want that level of control, send your edit to your editing app and finish it there. See [Sending to your editing app](/docs/export/exporting-to-your-nle).

## There's no effects panel

You don't drag effects onto clips. You describe what you want and Ponder builds it. Naming the effect helps, and if you don't know what it's called, send a reference. For anything elaborate, expect to go back and forth a few times.

## Some titles and graphics can't be edited in your editing app

Simple titles stay editable after you send your edit, but more involved titles and graphics don't, so make any changes to those in Ponder first. See [What carries over to your editing app](/docs/export/what-arrives-in-your-nle) for the details.

## Audio cleanup is built for dialogue

Ponder is good at volume, fades, ducking music under voices and cleaning up speech. It isn't a full mastering tool, though, and some cleanup creates a new audio file instead of an effect you can tweak later. It also can't hear the way you do, so always give the audio a final listen yourself.

## Double-check anything complex

Ponder will try whatever you ask. For complex edits, layered effects or anything that took a lot of back and forth, have a proper look at the result before you move on, and tell it what to fix if something's off.

<Note>
  Ponder changes quickly. Check the [release notes](https://ponderdocs.notion.site/) to see what's changed.
