<Steps>
  <Step title="Download and install">
    Download Ponder for Mac or Windows from [ponder.ai/download](https://ponder.ai/download).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Set up">
    Ponder asks what you edit and which editing app you use, and lets you pick a keyboard preset.

    It also asks what you'd like to edit first. In the desktop app, Ponder suggests your most recent footage, so you can start with that, browse the rest, or drop in your own.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Create a project and import">
    If you chose footage during setup, your first project starts with it. Otherwise, click **Import media** in the Media Pool, or press **⌘I**. If you have a script, brief or reference video, bring it in at the same time.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Tell Ponder what you want">
    Say how long the video should be, where it's going, how it should feel, and what to keep or cut. You can type it or talk it through with the mic.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Answer Ponder's questions">
    Ponder might ask you a few things before it starts. Your answers shape the edit, so give them the same detail you gave in your first message.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Check the work as it goes">
    Take a look at the folders, sync groups and stringouts as they appear. On your first project it's worth going one step at a time so you can check each one.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Watch the cut and give notes">
    Leave comments on the moments you want changed and send them to Ponder. See [Comments](/docs/using-ponder/referring-with-at#comments).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Render, share or send">
    Render a video file, share a link for feedback, or click **Export** to send it to Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro or CapCut. See [Ways to export](/docs/export/send-vs-download).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Look it over in your editing app">
    If you sent it to an editing app, have a look at the timeline there before you start cutting.
