Seen a video with a style you want? Send it to Ponder as a reference.

Add your references

The easiest way is to paste a link in the chat, and Ponder downloads the video into your project. If the video needs you to sign in, Ponder will ask. If you’ve already got the video saved, like an MP4 or MOV, you can import the file instead.
Links aren’t limited to YouTube, Instagram and TikTok. Pinterest, Vimeo and lots of other sites work too, so if you spot a style you like somewhere else, paste the link and give it a try.

Say what you want to match

Tell Ponder which parts of the reference you’re after. The more specific you are, the closer it’ll get. You might want the pacing and cut timing, the caption style, the on-screen text and title cards, the graphics, or the way it cuts on the beat.
Match the reference’s pacing and caption style. Keep our own color.
Match the title cards and on-screen text from this video, and cut on the beat like it does.
“Match this style” gets you a general impression. Naming specific things gets you a copy, like the caption highlight color, how fast it cuts, or how loud the music sits under the voice.
Copy the yellow highlight on the active caption word and the fast cuts. Ignore everything else.

Save it as a style

Ponder writes up what it found in a reference as a style you can edit and reuse on your next project, without sending the reference again. Ponder copies the style, not the content. The reference’s footage and music never go into your edit.
